Keeping our environment as idyllic as possible is a question of attitude! And because every one of us can do something about it, all of our employees are encouraged to act in a way that is economically, ecologically and socially sustainable, beyond the usual scope.
Geuther has an "excellent" sense of responsibility for nature and the environment: our wood suppliers are FSC® certified. Our furniture surfaces comply with DIN 53160 (saliva-resistant and sweat-resistant) and European standard EN 71 for the safety of children's toys. The paper used for our advertising materials is FSC® certified and our printing is certified carbon-neutral. Our products carry the lowest emission level certificate of E1 for formaldehyde emissions - it doesn't get better than this! Our packaging boxes carry the Resy symbol, meaning that they are 100% recyclable.
Solid beech wood from German and European forests is our first choice in the production of furniture: this natural and continuously growing material is strong, reliable, and can be turned into beautiful objects - as well as being completely recyclable! Geuther makes uses of the most modern techniques: the advantages - for example with dip painting - include an extremely even coating. This is also a plus for the health of our employees, as no varnish vapours are present that could damage the lungs.
Cutting-edge CNC millers shape the wood with minimal material waste. The resulting wood waste is used to fuel our factory heating system, meaning that we don't need to use non-renewable fuels such as coal or oil!
Wherever possible, we improve our actions to preserve the environment for future generations: because we want to contribute to a world that is worth living in.
